Women for Afghan Women (WAW) first received USCIS funding in FY 2019. WAW and the Jacob A. Riis Neighborhood Settlement (Riis) will continue their partnership for the FY 2023 CINAS grant cycle to provide 200 clients with citizenship instruction and immigration legal services. Sixty percent of WAW’s clients are Afghans, but it also serves the diverse immigrant communities primarily in Queens, NY.
