The Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota (ILCM) and sub-awardee, Literacy Minnesota (LM) have worked together to provide citizenship education and naturalization application services to immigrants since 2013. Their primary clients are LPRs living in rural Minnesota and Minneapolis and St. Paul’s Latinx, Somali, Hmong, and Karen communities. ILCM/LM were first awarded a USCIS grant in FY 2013. With USCIS FY 2022 funding, ILCM and LM will provide citizenship instruction to 200 LPRs, administer naturalization eligibility screenings to 200 LPRs, and file 200 Forms N-400 and G-28.
