The Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota (ILCM) and sub-awardee, Literacy Minnesota (LM) have worked together to provide citizenship instruction and naturalization application services to immigrants since 2013. Their primary clients are LPRs living in rural Minnesota, as well as the Latinx, Somali, Hmong, and Karen communities of Minneapolis and St. Paul. ILCM and LM were first awarded a USCIS grant in FY 2013. With USCIS FY 2024 funding, ILCM and LM will provide citizenship instruction to 200 LPRs, administer naturalization eligibility screenings to 224 LPRs, and file 200 Forms N-400 and G-28.
