The Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization (IRCO) has been providing citizenship instruction since 2002 and naturalization application services since 2017. IRCO provides services to underserved immigrant and refugee communities in Oregon. IRCO clients include Slavic and Eastern European (Russian, Uzbek, Croatian, Estonian) communities, Bhutanese and Nepali communities, as well as Greater Middle Eastern (Iraqi, Egyptian, Iranian, Syrian), African (Liberian, Rwandan, Nigerian, Congolese), and Asian and Pacific Islander (Vietnamese, Laotian, Indonesian) populations. FY 2022 is the first year that IRCO has been awarded a USCIS grant. With USCIS FY 2022 funding, IRCO will provide citizenship instruction to 200 LPRs, administer naturalization eligibility screenings to 200 LPRs, and file 200 Forms N-400 and G-28.
