Founded by refugees in 1981, the Chinese Mutual Aid Association (CMAA) serves the needs, promotes the interests, and enhances the well-being of diverse immigrant and refugee communities across Metropolitan Chicago. CMAA accomplishes its mission through social services, advocacy, educational programming, and assistance for clients of all ages. With their wraparound service model and offices in Uptown Chicago, West Ridge, and Elgin, CMAA serves over 5,000 clients annually in Cook and Kane counties. CMAA is a trusted citizenship service provider for diverse immigrant populations, with specialized expertise in serving Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) communities. With USCIS FY 2024 funding, CMAA will provide citizenship instruction to 140 LPRs, administer naturalization eligibility screenings to 250 LPRs, and file 200 Forms N-400 and G-28.
