Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Stockton (CCDS) has provided citizenship and naturalization application assistance for more than 10 years to low-income, lawful permanent residents (LPRs) in San Joaquin and Stanislaus Counties to promote citizenship achievement and community assimilation. CCDS was awarded its first USCIS grant in FY 2011 and has been recognized as a USCIS grantee success story for innovation and commitment to clients. With USCIS FY 2022 funding, CCDS will provide citizenship instruction to 240 LPRs, administer naturalization eligibility screenings to 400 LPRs, and file 200 Forms N-400 and G-28.
