About
The U.S. Committee for Refugees and Immigrants (USCRI) has provided culturally and linguistically appropriate case management and legal services to foreign-born nationals and families for over 110 years. USCRI was awarded its first USCIS National Capacity Building grant in FY 2010. With USCIS FY 2022 funding, USCRI will utilize its national network of regional hubs to provide capacity- building, training, and technical assistance, as well as facilitate inter-agency communication to increase effectiveness of citizenship and integration programs for sub-applicants in San Diego, CA, Kansas City, MO, and Boston, MA. USCRI will create a tailored Program Development Plan (PDP) in partnership with each sub-applicant. PDPs will cover the four components of capacity-building: institutional development financial resource development, human resource development, and the use of effective programming. Training and technical assistance will be provided in each of these areas, as well as in the provision of naturalization application services, community engagement, and citizenship preparation curriculum development.
