The Fast Track to Citizenship VIII project will increase access to citizenship education for eligible LPRs in Miami-Dade County, Florida, by providing intensive citizenship education through the Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) Adult Education Program. M-DCPS has provided adult education for 62 years and is the largest provider in ESL and citizenship instruction in the State of Florida. In the past two years, M-DCPS has served approximately 38,000 ESL students. By partnering with Catholic Charities Legal Services (CCLS) of the Archdiocese of Miami, Inc., the Fast Track to Citizenship VIII project will provide naturalization application services to eligible students. CCLS has provided legal immigration services for more than 25 years, serving over 21,000 individuals in their community in the past two years. For the FY 2023 grant cycle, they will provide intensive citizenship instruction to 220 LPRs and naturalization application services for 220 LPRs. 11
