About
The Genesis Center has served low-moderate income Rhode Islanders for over 40 years. More recently, as a member of the Rhode Island Citizenship Consortium, The Genesis Center has been successful in educating and preparing LPRs to successfully pass their citizenship exam. Since 2018, they have helped 235 students become U.S. citizens. The Genesis Center proposes to design and implement a contextualized English class focusing on holistic integration into systems of American prosperity. The Genesis Center will focus on barriers that preclude immigrants from fully engaging with government services and will focus on the role that digital literacy and digital navigation plays in this component. 17
