About

Quincy Asian Resources Inc. (QARI), originally founded to serve the AAPI population in Quincy, MA, now serves immigrants of all backgrounds and operates across Massachusetts, Providence, Rhode Island, and New York City. This expansion over the past five years has been largely driven by its workforce partnerships. Beginning with Brooks Brothers (clothing manufacturer) in 2019, QARI expanded to NYC and more recently, to Providence, RI, through its partnership with Amazon. QARI was awarded its first USCIS grant in FY 2020. With USCIS FY 2022 funding, QARI is leveraging its workforce and community partnerships to expand the accessibility and reach of their current citizenship program by increasing staff and bringing classes onsite to workforce partner sites in MA, RI, and NYC. Supporting objectives include (1) hiring full time Social Service Ambassadors who will promote and engage workers about citizenship education/the naturalization process, conduct targeted outreach to “hard to reach” immigrant populations, understand barriers to participation, and facilitate enrollment in the program; and (2) exploring competency based, self-paced learning models, create pre-recorded video content, and other professional, academic, and personal support services from Ambassadors to ensure students complete the program.
