About

Since 1997, the Greater Lawrence Community Action Council (GLCAC) has been providing immigration services and an ESOL program. In January 2021, GLCAC began comprehensive citizenship education to address the overwhelming need in the immigrant community, most of whom are living at/ below the poverty level and are predominantly from the Dominican Republic and other Latin American, Caribbean, and South American countries. FY 2022 is the first year that GLCAC has been awarded a USCIS grant. With USCIS FY 2022 funding, GLCAC will provide citizenship instruction to 208 LPRs, administer naturalization eligibility screenings to 400 LPRs, and file 300 Forms N-400 and G-28.
