Since the 1980’s, the Fresno Unified School District has provided immigration services. Fresno Unified School District serves permanent residents from all countries; however, the majority of their constituents are primarily Spanish, Hmong, and Punjabi-speaking residents residing in Fresno County. Fresno Unified School District was first awarded a USCIS grant in FY 2012. With USCIS FY 2023 grant funding, the Fresno Unified School District will provide citizenship 5 instruction to over 200 LPRs, administer naturalization eligibility screenings to over 350 LPRs, and file a minimum of 240 Forms N-400 and G-28.
