About

The Community Center for Immigrants Incorporated (CCI) will offer citizenship preparation services to LPRs in the Milwaukee, WI metropolitan area, including the growing refugee community. Milwaukee has the largest Burmese Rohingya population in the United States; in the past year, 60% of CCI’s students were Burmese Rohingya refugees. Thus, CCI has tailored its citizenship instruction program to meet the unique needs of refugee learners. CCI will also provide naturalization application services through its DOJ-accredited representative. Additionally, CCI will use the USCIS grant funding to expand the number of employees with accredited representative status. In the FY 2023 grant cycle, CCI will provide citizenship instruction and naturalization application services to 200 individuals.
