About
The Chaldean American Ladies of Charity dba United Community Family Services (UCFS) has been providing immigration services to immigrant and refugee families in the metro Detroit area for the past 61 years. UCFS has offered ESL instruction, citizenship instruction and citizenship application services since 2012. UCFS serves refugees who have resettled in Macomb, Oakland, Wayne, and Washtenaw counties, primarily coming from Iraq, Syria, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). UCFS was awarded its first USCIS grant in FY 2020. With USCIS FY 2022 funding, UCFS will develop integration plans for 150 eligible immigrants, provide citizenship instruction to 150 eligible immigrants, administer naturalization eligibility screenings to 100 LPRs, and file 100 Forms N-400 and G-28.
