About
The UNCG Center for New North Carolinians (UNCG) and its sub-awardee, New Arrivals Institute (NAI), have worked closely for more than a decade supporting low-income immigrants from the Triad area of North Carolina. The top five countries of origin for those receiving services are Mexico, Syria, Democratic Republic of Congo, Sudan, and Vietnam. UNCG was awarded its first USCIS grant in FY 2020. With USCIS FY 2022 funding, UNCG and NAI will provide citizenship instruction to 240 LPRs, administer naturalization eligibility screenings to 280 LPRs, and file 240 Forms N-400 and G-28.
