About
Catholic Charities of Louisville (CCL) was founded in 1939 primarily as an adoption services provider. Today CCL provides a range of programs and services ranging from refugee resettlement to food pantries to community gardening to indigent burial, serving 46,125 clients in the previous calendar year. Catholic Charities of Louisville’s (CCL) Migration and Refugee Services (MRS) has been resettling refugees in the Louisville, Kentucky area since the mid-1970s. In addition, CCL has an in-house Immigration Legal Services (ILS) program which has since 1992 assisted those who need quality, lower-cost assistance with services such as permanent residence, family reunification, citizenship, naturalization, and more. Through the Citizenship and Integration Training Academy (CITA) program, CCL aims to develop comprehensive citizenship education programming for LPRs in the Louisville area.
