About
Founded in 1969, the 1199 SEIU League Training and Upgrading Fund (TUF) is an organization that provides a full array of education benefits to healthcare workers. Since its 2001 creation, the 1199 SEIU Citizenship Program has helped nearly 14,000 healthcare workers obtain U.S. citizenship. To date, TUF has provided citizenship education for nearly 9,000 lawful permanent residents (LPRs). Through this grant, TUF will provide citizenship instruction to 200 LPRs and naturalization application services to 200 LPRs.
