Catholic Charities of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Syracuse, DBA Catholic Charities of Onondaga County (CCOC) received its first USCIS grant in 2018 which focused on the vulnerable immigrant population as part of its Refugee Resettlement Services. Currently, an influx of Afghan asylees are present in its area. CCOC implemented ESL instruction and citizenship instruction in 2011 and 98% of its students have passed the naturalization exam. CCOC will enroll at least 200 students and file 200 N-400s during the FY24 grant cycle.
